October Photos - Part 2

On one of the beautiful days in October, I took the kids on a wagon ride in the neighborhood and stopped to take pictures. We had a great time playing. Dana enjoyed chewing on the leaves. Finally she started gagging on one and when I did the finger sweep to get it out of her mouth, she puked all over. That definitely ended our photo shoot.

Harris loves to run and yell.

I just happened to catch him falling on this one. He was fine.

I think Harris' favorite hobby is putting things on Dana's head.

He insisted on pulling the wagon back home. He did pretty well, but through a fit when I had to put him back in the wagon when we reached the road.

October Photos - Part 1

Here are some pictures from October that I wanted to post. It's been a few weeks since I've put up anything new, so I thought it was due.

Dana had 4 top teeth that came in last month. She had a bit of a rough time with them. She loved chewing on cold washcloths.

She also began to pull up on furniture and other things and cruise around the room while hanging on.

Of course when they start standing, they starting falling too. She had a nice bruise on her head.

Earl Jr - I mean Harris - had fun playing with my wig I used for Halloween.

Halloween

On Halloween, I stopped by my parents house prior to going trick-or-treating in our neighborhood with the kids. I snapped of few pictures of the kids in their costumes. Dana's my little frog. A friend of mine gave this to me a couple of years ago for Harris. It fit Dana perfectly this year.

I wanted Harris to be a farmer this year and thought about Dana being a pumpkin to coordinate with the farm them. At the Tractor Supply store, I found this John Deere tool belt that came with a hat. After putting it on him, I thought he looked more like a handy man. So Dana went in the frog costume which was much cuter than the pumpkin.

Harris hat was a bit big so it made his ears stick out. In the picture below, I asked Harris to say "Trick or Treat."

My mom starting singing the other lyrics "smell my feet" which Harris seemed inclined to do.

The top of Dana's hat was so cute.

Harris thought so too.

Harris did really well Trick-or-Treating. He had had lots of practice though last Saturday when we went to Chain-O-Lakes to Trick-or-Treat at the campsites. Most of the campers seemed to really like the John Deere theme and he received extra handfuls of candy because of it.

Those pictures are below.

Andrew & Carrie's Wedding

Brian's sister Carrie was married on the 11th to Andrew. It was a beautiful warm October day to have a wedding. My sister Jana watched the kids at home during the ceremony and then brought them to the reception afterwards. Jana was such a big help the whole day. Brian and I couldn't have made it through without her.

Carrie's dress has to be the most beautiful one I've ever seen. I wouldn't even describe the color as off white because it seemed to have more brown tones in it. But whatever it's called, I absolutely loved the color.

Carrie was such a beautiful bride and Andrew looked quite handsome. We are so happy for the both of them.

Carrie loving her sister Amanda.

Harris ran around the reception hall about the whole time he was there.

The only time he slowed down to sit was for cake. He's feeding Carrie a piece here.

Smart lady - she knows he'll just try to mash more in there if he can.

Dana was a bit overwhelmed with all the sights and sounds. When my sister arrived, Brian went to hold Dana and she burst into tears. Not the Kodak moment of dancing with his little girl that he imagined. Brian's stepmom Debbie was kind enough to hold her for awhile and Dana calmed down.
