Misc. Pictures from March

Here's a few pictures from March that I wanted to post. I'm trying to blog a little more often so that I'm not so far behind. I find that if I make an attempt at blogging more often, I actually pull my camera out of the bag more. It's given me some great pictures which I would have otherwise missed.

These are a pair of shoes for Dana that my friend, Angie gave her. I think they are so stinkin' cute! I just love the baby shoes.

Jack enjoys watching us play out in the backyard. Our cats are strictly indoor animals so they just have to watch the action from the safety of the home.

Mia loves to keep me company when I'm on the computer in the den. Her favorite pasttime is to lay on any book or scrap of paper she can find.

Whenever she hears the camera shutter click, she starts meowing all softly for me.

I'm still coming across these dead dusty ladybugs in our house. The ones that fly around drive Jack nuts. Then Jack drives us nuts as he meows at them.

Bath Time Fun

Both the kids love bath time. It's usually the highlight of the evening for them. It's also a good way to kill 30 minutes when Dana's starting to get cranky and tired for bed.

What would a bath time blog entry be without a little cheek action?



Mohawks are making a come back.

We've been working on Dana's product placement skills which she is starting to master. We're obviously very proud.

Play Time

Dana has become very independent over the past couple of months. She no longer likes to be fed by Momma or Daddy. Her left hook is pretty good as she smacks the spoon/fork away from her face. So we've been letting her feed herself which is very, very messy.

One day, Harris and Dana were giggling away and I turned to see Dana dump her bowl of cottage cheese on her head. Of course, Harris thought this was hilarious.





It is really cute to watch the two of them play. Everytime I watch them laughing and playing, I'm so thankful that we had two children. It has been difficult having two little ones only 20 months apart, but now they play together so much that is seems worth it.

For Dana's 1st birthday, she received this ride-on car as a gift. Both kids love it. They take turns pushing each other.

Indianapolis Children's Museum

At the beginning of March, we took a trip to the Indianapolis Children's Museum. Dana stayed with her Grandma & Grandpa while Brian took a day off work to make the trip. Well the first hour in Indy was a disaster. Harris threw the biggest tantrum I've ever seen. We had talked about the dinosaurs that he would see there, but that was the area where he behaved the worst.

It was very humbling to be so embarrassed in public by our 2 year old. I'm not sure what the problem was, but I was ready to cut our loses and just come back home. Brian suggested that we eat lunch and reevaluate the plan afterwards. Harris seemed ok at lunch so we stayed and found the toddler area. He was fine after that. That is until we got back home that evening. It is exhausting being a parent sometimes.

I did take some pictures, but it was only at the portions of the museum where he was behaving.



There was a neat exhibit on Comic Books.




They had a room setup with lots of comics on racks and comfy chairs for the kids to sit and read.




Even a Bat signal was flashed around the floor. Harris enjoyed chasing it all around.

What would a trip to Indianapolis be without seeing a race car?

Brian had a Celebrity back in the day, so I had to get a picture of his old car for him.

The toddler area was nice. It gave us a chance to just relax while he played.

Of course he loved to play with the trains.

They even had a sand table which was fun.
