Christmas Photos

Christmas was very exhausting but fun this year. Harris made out like a bandit and has lots of new toys to learn. Below are a few pictures from our Christmas.

This Christmas I learned that I should buy stock in batteries since I will be purchasing many of them over the next two decades. Every toy imaginable takes batteries and they are never the same kind as the next toy. We've stocked up on Ds, Cs, AAs, and AAAs at Sam's Club.

I also learned that I should have bought stock in a company that makes those twist ties. I think the average toy I unwrapped had about ten of them. Brian finally searched through the garage and produced wire cutters which helped tremendously.

Mia has enjoyed all the boxes and wrapping paper that Christmas has brought.

Play Time

I took some pictures of our evening playing together. Lately he's been making these old man sounds that are an exagerated grunt. Below is a picture of him while doing that.

He loves to play with Daddy's goatee.

"Hey, what's you doing Mom?"

Up goes the baby!

Down comes the baby!

6 Month Checkup

Harris had his 6 month checkup and immunizations on Friday. He is doing very well and his development seems normal.

Latest stats:

Weight: 17lb 14oz (48 percentile)
Height: 27.25in (69 percentile)
Head: 17.5in (57 percentile)

I've also included his 6 month pictures which I'm sure most of you have seen with our Christmas greetings. Brian is really fond of the picture with the hat, but I don't think it looks like him that much. I really like the picture of him without the hat, but Brian doesn't think it really looks like him. I find it interesting that we both have specific images in our minds of how he looks, but those images differ greatly from one another.

Visiting Santa

Sorry for not having any new posting up on the blog lately. It's amazing how fast time flys and how busy Harris keeps us.

Tonight we went to see Santa. Harris did very well and was happy just to stare amazed at the jolly old man.

Discovering the Remote

All men love remote controls. Harris has become fascinated by ours.

It's tough work pooping your pants.

Triplets!

Ok, so they are not triplets. It's more like twins plus one.

Harris is with John & Kim's babies Logan and Connor. I believe Logan is on the left and Connor is on the right. I hope that's correct. I'm really have a hard time telling them apart these days.

I love the picture below. It reminds me of Forest Gump where in every picture that was taken of him, his eyes were closed. Too funny.

Halloween

Harris was a pumpkin this year for Halloween. I bought the costume almost a year ago for $2. I was excited that it fit him.

Can you tell which one is our pumpkin? Thanks Grandma & Grandpa for the decoys!

More Cute Pictures

Brian does his evening superman flying routine with Harris.

When Good Cats Go Bad

Mia was acting pretty feisty the other night. She likes to lay on the exersaucer mat and she didn't really want to move when I put Harris in it. I guess she thought she would attack the offending legs. The dilated pupils shown in the second picture gives her away.

Hello

This is just too cute not to put on the blog. Does it seem like he is starting to look a little less like Daddy and more like Mommy?

First Solid Foods!

Yesterday at the doctor's, we were given the green light for starting solid foods. Harris's first meal was rice cereal. He seemed to like it quite a bit.

4 Month Checkup

Harris had his four month checkup yesterday afternoon. His development seems to be normal. The measurements are shown below:

Weight: 16lb 2.5oz (63 percentile)
Height: 26in (75 percentile)
Head: 17in (62 percentile)

Way to go big guy!

A Evening with Harris (written by Harris)

After waking up from my short nap during the car ride home from the sitters, I usually enjoy watching one of my favorite videos. I love when there are other babies on the TV for me to talk to. I'm a social animal.

When my video is done, I get to play in my new exersaucer. Even though I haven't quite got the hang of all its functions yet, the colors are incredible.

Next we get to play with the cats so that they don't feel left out. They seem to like me now, but they always want Mom and Dad's attention.... when in reality, it should all belong to me.

Mom or Dad makes a batch of bottles for me to eat so that I will not go hungry the next day. They tried that "making one bottle at a time" thing, but it just didn't work for me. When I'm ready to eat, that bottle better be ready....or else.

That leads me into the next picture here. I usually have at least one good fit a night. Sometimes I keep them short, because I'm just too tired to keep it up. Other times, I can go on....and on....and on....and on....and on...and on...and on......and you get the point.

I love bath night. I get to sport this incredible body all around the house. I don't mean to brag, but I am quite cute.

I get to relax with Mom and Dad before settling down for an evenings slumber. As with all things, the evening must come to an end.

And it is also the end of this blog posting. I hope you enjoyed!

Growing Like a Weed

Some more cute pictures and silly faces.

Mia is quite comfortable around Harris now. She loves his chair and to meow for the camera.

Funny Hats

Here's Harris with his Grandma. Grandma definitely worries about his head being cold during their walks.

All he needs is his rifle and he's ready to go hunting with Dick Cheney.

3 Months Old

Harris is now 3 months old. I can hardly believe how fast time has gone. For the most part, Harris is a happy content baby. As long as his needs are met, he's not too difficult. He likes to smile and coo alot. It seems like his hands are always in his mouth. He definitely is sucking his thumb quite a bit.

Just a few pictures to share.

Oh yes....you are going into my mouth.

Time with Friends

Here are some pictures that our sitter Megan took of Harris and her daughter Tori. Tori is very sweet with Harris. Harris really seems to enjoy Tori as well.

Tori and Harris with pull-ups on their heads. Do these kids know how to party or what?!

Labor Day Weekend

I've attached a link to a short movie of Harris. He is pretty chatty these days which I think is adorable.
